On Saturday April 10, the Eva's Heroes organization held its 2nd Annual Dance Clinic at Jackson Middle School in North Central San Antonio.

With the help of the San Antonio Spurs Silver Dancers, participants learned new dance moves and grooved out to the Black Eyed Peas, I've Got a Feeling. With over 25 participants, the Dance Clinic goal was to bring together those with developmental challenges, 14 years and older, to meet new friends and have fun.
The Silver Dancers took time to help all the participants learn every dance move throughout the routine. The Silver Dancers created a dance routine just for the Eva's Heroes Dance Clinic and its participants. It quickly became evident that the participants were having fun as you could see them moving and smiling as the music played.
During the dance clinic a surprise visit from Eva Longoria Parker made the event that more special for all participants. Eva took the time to visit with each participant and even joined in on the fun and learned the routine with everyone.
"To see everyone dancing, smiling, and interacting with each other is truly an incredible sight! We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in unique activities like our dance clinic," said Eva's Heroes Executive Director, Christiane Perkins-Garcia.
Eva's Heroes continues to provide events for those with special needs to interact, grow, learn and love. Their Summer Program includes activities for individuals 14 to 21 years old, in an inclusive environment where they learn the value of teamwork and increase their ability to function independently.
